Sindhi Chana dal Recipe – Chana dal Tadka fry – Punjabi chana dal masala

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Chana Dal
  • 1 Cup Chopped onion
  • 1 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 Tsp Jeera/ cumin · CARAWAY SEED
  • 2 cup water
  • 2- 3 Pudina Leafs/ Peppermint/ Green coriander Leafs
  • 3 tsp Red Chillies
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Table spoon oil
  • 1 Table Kitchen King Masala or Garam Masala
  • 1 Green chilly chopped
  • 2 tsp salt or according to taste

Method

  1. Heat Oil in Pressure cooker. Put the cumin caraway Seeds , Green chilies ,onion and saute it for 5 minutes.
  2. Onion colour is dark pink then put the red chilies,coriander seed, Turmeric powder, salt and chopped tomatoes saute it for 5 minutes.
  3. Gravy is ready then we put chana dal and saute it for 5 minutes. Add 2 cups water and Close the Pressure Cooker take 15- 20 minutes and minimum 5 whistle and 15 minutes cook on slow flame.
  4. Chana Dal is Ready to serve taste it and sprinkle lemon water and Peppermint leafs or green coriander leafs and serve with Chapati or Nan
