Shahi Gheavr Recipe| Rajasthani Gheavr Sweet Recipe

Today in Rasoi.me we are making Rajasthani’s all time favorite and famous sweet dish which is Gheavr. This recipe is very tasty. You can easily find this dish in any Rajasthani wedding. You can prepare this on any special occasion. You can serve this with dryfruits and rabdi. Try this home cooked sweet dish.

 

 

My Recipe

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Yields: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup maida /all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Lemon
  • Ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Dryfruits

Method

  1. In a bowl add maida, 2 drops lemon juice, 2 tsp ghee, milk and mix well. Pour this mixture in a mixer grinder and add little water and grind well. The batter should be in running consistency. It should not be thick.
  2. In a kadhai. Heat ghee for frying. Put the mould in kadhai. Pour the mixture with fingers. Fry for 5 minutes. Then remove mould and turn side and cook on the other side.
  3. Then prepare sugar syrup. Add kesar in syrup. Pour sugar syrup in Gheavr. Spread some dryfruits on top.
  4. You can also spread rabdi on Gheavr and serve.
