Sindhi Makhani Moong Dal Recipe

Cook Time: 20 mins
Serves: 4


  • 2 Cups Moong Dal
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 Green Chilles
  • 1 Tsp Rai and Jeera
  • 1 Tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 Tsp Red chillies powder
  • 1 Tsp Amchur powder or 1 spoon lemon juice
  • curry leafs or Coriander leafs for garnish
  • oil 1 spoon
  • Water 1 glass


  1. Moong dal we can soak in water for half an hour before boil. Wash it 4 times in water properly.
  2. Heat Pressue cooker add Mong dal 1 glass water and add chopped tomoato and green chillies with 1 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp salt.
  3. Add 1 drop of oil to cook it well and fastly. Lck the pressure cooker. Take 4 wissels and keep it on slow flame for 10 minutes.
  4. When Moong Dal is boiled properly check it with spoon and mesh it and add half cup water and heat up in the cooker. When its done take one bowl and put the Moong dal in it.
  5. Take Frying pan add the oil and put the Rai and jeera and curry leafs and saute it for 2 minutes. Then sprinkle Red chillies powder 2 spoon and amchur powder 1 spoon in Moong Dal . This Vaghar/ Tadka is ready.
  6. Add the Tadka to Moong dal Bowl. And Garnish it with Green coriander leafs.
  7. Moong Dal is Ready to serve with Roti , Naan or Pudi. Its very healthy and Tasty Recipe of Moong ki Makhni Dal/ Moong Dal Recipe
